Interesting enough flick with a Lovecraftian feel, as well as some good visuals. The acting and plot are both rather weak, but if you watched this alone you might appreciate the atmosphere; with friends you'd probably have a few laughs.

This is an odd little film...
I couldn't find it in the Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film or Video Guide. It looks like a 16mm pet project, but the presence of Royal Dano & Elisha Cook, Jr., suggest otherwise. Another reviewer mentioned Lovecraft as an influence, I got that, too. There's an atmosphere of dread and foreboding that really creeped me out during this. The amazing thing was that the filmmakers managed to sustain that mood throughout the whole feature (although it does start to drag a little in the last couple of reels). In many ways, I pair it with "Carnival of Souls" for atmosphere and otherwordliness. It's worth a watch.

This film had so much potential, but it was lost by being so darn unscary.
If you like artsy-horror, or you just want to see what one looks like, watch it. If you want a zombie or a slasher flick, this is not for you.

A nice atmospheric mix of elements from Carnival of Souls, Night of the Living Dead, and H. P. Lovecraft's small-town-with-a-dark-secret. The best word to describe it is "unsettling" -- many times I had the sensation of watching someone else's fever-dream.
Some may criticize it for plot holes and illogic, but I think they just add to its otherworldliness. Definitely worth the download.

I agree that this film has a Lovecraftian feel too it, but it's just so damn campy. The movie has a sort of nonchalant feel to it like they weren't serious about making a horror flick. At least, that's my impression.
However, the grocery store scene was really quite good. The store reminded me a lot of the small town groceries of my childhood and the idea of something sinister going on in such a common everyday locale was well done.
