His Medal of Honor is worthless, war and violence are on TV, and just outside on the streets. The man is completely lost, his social sensitivity twisted, the world's a mess. Hungry and in dept, his attention turns towards some nurses... Not a great film, but things become pretty strong towards the end. Expect a calm, psychological study type of film with a "hollow", cold feeling to it. I'd compare it to "Driller Killer", not a masterpiece, not polished, not really psychologically deep, somehow disturbing and sleazy, with some (albeit not too much) interesting moments and dialogue, and ok performace by the cast. The plot is actually some sort of recreation of Richard Speck's Chicago atrocities (thanks Kahotep) in 1966 - the portrayal of the killer (played by Mathieu Carriere) could be seen as a study of the real R.
