No rating yet, just some information. This is the *original* Swedish/American collaboration, "Terror in the Midnight Sun". Hack producer Jerry Warren later took this film, added John Carradine's narration and extra footage, and called it "Invasion of the Animal People." I saw the "Animal People" version in a theater many years ago,but don't remember anything except the title. Any chance it could get posted on PFT? How about "Wild World of Batwoman," another Jerry Warren extravaganza?

not too exciting, but great setting, some nice dialogue, cute female character, and some more. worth a watch.

This is possibly the greatest waste of time and effort I have ever seen at the movies. It's not "good enough" to be a Z rated gem like the average Ed Wood dross or a Lugosi spectacular so it doesn't even have the hilarity factor which makes normal, sane people watch those intellectual droppings. It's hard to even begin to sum up what's wrong with this rubbish but two things stand out like a sore thumb. Firstly, the whole story is structured, or rather, entwined around a ridiculous romance between one of the least romantic male leads I have ever seen and a "screamer". The screaming, (and undressing on cue), appear to be the female lead's only functions. The second notable feature, which this movie shares with almost every film I have ever seen from Scandinavia, is the almost total lack of energy. To call the script and acting lethargic would be a terrible overstatement; a 5000 year old mummy is lethargic, this movie is dead. I don't know why Scandinavians find films where nothing much happens and when it does it happens veeery sloooowwwly, so appealing but I draw your attention to the great Bergman classic "Cries and Whispers" as an example of how one can spend ninety minutes telling a three minute story about almost nothing. All movies in this collection are worth downloading and each has some value. This one is highly recommended if you want to lay off your usual hypnotic and still get a good night's sleep.
